My dear readers,
In the past couple of days, and the ones that are to follow, I won’t be having time to write as many
amazing posts as I’ve done so far. Probably you’ve noticed that I have re-blogged a couple of interesting posts, either body topic-related, or opinion pieces on the future of the humanities.
I have also started a new category on my blog: Blogs I follow. Some of them are Anthropology and Archaeology related, others are from the field of medical studies and a few on material culture.
As a matter of fact, my latest great findings are:
http://lifeand6months.com/ (a website dedicated to a “doctoral research into the postmortem preservation of tattooed human skin”).
http://thechirurgeonsapprentice.com/ (“dedicated to a study of early modern chirurgeons, and all the blood and gore that comes with it.“)
http://medicalhumanities.wordpress.com/ (News, updates and insights from the Centre for Medical Humanities, Durham University)
and something of a rare gem:
http://www.themidnightarchive.com/newsite/ (A NEW WEB SERIES WHICH AIMS TO DOCUMENT THE EXOTIC, THE STRANGE, THE ECCENTRIC AND THE TRULY UNIQUE. OFTEN DARK AND ALWAYS ON THE FRINGE)
I have to say that in the last week or so I’ve seen so many projects on the human body, that I’ll definitely need to write something about. Til then, any such news will be posted on this blogs’ facebook page (as I’ve already done in the past few months):
Have a great week-end!
